It’s been a busy week around here, so we haven’t spent much time working on anything LEGO related. Sometimes work gets in the way. ;) However, we did find this amazing Winter Village Diner build we wanted to share with you guys!
Description of the Winter Village Diner Build
The build was created by Steve Bailey. We ran across the build in one of our many Facebook groups and are absolutely charmed by it. We particularly like that it’s the right scale for Winter Village. We also like that while the design is not overly complicated, it’s still unique. And just checkout the awesome garland idea…
I plan on adding that garland to our greenhouse. So cute!
The description on the listing states:
I have been building Winter Village sets since the very first set was released by the LEGO group. The whole theme was the reason I returned to this great hobby after many years away.
Anyway I have also designed many other buildings and had the good fortune to display my Winter Village at the largest Brick Show in the Southern Hemisphere in 2015.
You can be assured that the build is similar in scale to all the existing official Lego WV sets so, once built, it will slot perfectly beside your existing buildings...
I am a member of many Winter Village groups and on one recently I saw a comment regarding a Winter Village Diner.
I liked the idea so much I started work on this lovely little set.
It is my first model to come in below 1000 pieces and I think it still has the attention to detail I cherish. As a consequence this one is going to be a whole lot cheaper to build – around 100 of the 646 are 1×1 plates of some description.
Oh and as it is “St. Nicks Diner” make sure your chef has a White Beard!!!
More Images of the Build
When you look at the back product image of the build, you can see the additional details of the dinner. There appears to the standard counter area and kitchenette, along with some bench seating. There is also what I believe to be an old-timey juke box.
The instructions seem straight forward, what you can expect of general build instructions. Although I’m not sure if they come with the winter background. Hopefully not, as that can be a bit distracting.
Where Can I Purchase the Instructions
The instructions are available on eBay for £4.95 (approximately $6.41 USD).
Along with the instructions, you’ll get:
- a fully tested inventory upload file for Bricklink
- a sticker sheet image to print out stickers
We love the details of this diner and were happy to share it with you. We hope it inspires you to build this or something similar in your LEGO winter village!
