I mentioned a few posts ago I received the LEGO Research Institute on Shop@Home for my birthday. The other day, I finally got a chance to build it out. If you haven’t seen the set up close, here are a few photos of the builds:
I liked that the booklet came with English, Spanish and French explanations combined. Made it feel much more substantial and special than the general LEGO booklets.
Meet the Chemist… She has awesome speciality beakers I haven’t seen in any other sets.
Meet the Paleontologist… I was in love with the dinosaur bones. That was such an interesting build… I especially liked they way a pair of binoculars was used to build the microscope.
The Astronomer’s telescope was another favorite of mine in this build. The use of the sextant, lightsaber hilt and bucket was ingenious.
They’re presently sitting on top of my computer.
Is it bad of me I don’t share these with The Little Brick? They’re my toys… mine!
You didn’t mention that the magnifying glass actually magnifies!
You’re right! I didn’t! Shame on me. I do think that is pretty cool!
I love this kit.
