If you remember, I’ve been talking about BuildtoGive a lot these last few posts. It’s a pretty big deal and as a LEGO loving person, I hope you and your kids participate in the event by making your own LEGO ornament.

Just to show you how big of a deal it is, I want to point out that the Bricklink.com website is also participating in the festivities. Makes sense, since The LEGO Group now owns BrickLink.

Amazing LEGO Ornament Ideas on Bricklink.com

This morning, I received the following email from BrickLink:

Dear BrickLink community,

We are excited to be a part of the LEGO® Build to Give event where we encourage our fans to share their creativity and love toward the community by designing their own holiday ornaments. Your ornament design can be shared in the BrickLink Studio Gallery and any social media with #buildtogive and #bricklinkstudio. For every ornament submitted, the LEGO Group will donate a LEGO set to a child in need of play. Up to 1 million sets will be donated!

Until the end of the year, we will be featuring this special Build to Give category on the Studio Gallery. Here you will have access to a variety of holiday ornament designs, so be sure to like your favorite ones! Most-liked designs will be selected to decorate our holiday tree page

Make sure to visit our announcement page for more information about how to take part in this event and share holiday cheer with fellow LEGO fans around the world!

I immediately went to see what ornaments people had already submitted…

LEGO Ornaments That Peak My Interest

If you haven’t checked out the holiday tree page yet, don’t delay! I found so many amazing builds and had a hard time narrowing them down to the following builds:

If you want to check out the builds more closely, here are the direct links to the builds listed above:

Apparently, I have a thing for the caterpillar and centipede ornaments by user joel.marbella.

There were also a few Christmas builds that were submitted as LEGO ornaments by user BoPRocks. I didn’t list them above, but wanted to mention them here regardless:

I’m a sucker for micro builds and cool mechanisms. :)

So… I hope you take some time to visit the page this weekend and enjoy the awesome LEGO ornaments! We plan on adding a few of these to our tree, so I’ll be spending the weekend in our LEGO room collecting pieces.

Did you visit the page? What LEGO ornaments are calling your name?
